Access To Employment
Youth Access to Employment
On April 1, 2019, Access Youth Outreach added an employment program to serve the youth of the Tri-Cities. This innovative program partners with WorkBC and other non-profits in the Tri-Cities to provide youth ages 16-24 with job skills training, interviewing skills, resume building and finally access to the employment market.
This program is far more than just helping our youth find a job; we’ve also partnered with employee friendly businesses that understand the barriers some youth face today in finding and sustaining meaningful employment.

Junior Employee Program
Since its launch in January 2021, the Junior Employee Program has provided youth in the Tri-Cities with opportunities to develop employment readiness skills and gain valuable workplace experience. Through training, mentorship, and hands-on learning, participants build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to succeed in the workforce.
Youth may participate in the program for up to two years, depending on their individual goals and development needs. During their time in the program, participants work toward personal and professional growth while gaining experience that supports their transition into future employment, education, and career opportunities.
The program is designed to help youth build independence, strengthen workplace skills, and prepare for long-term success.
