The Bus

project reach out
Project Reach Out (PRO), also known as “The Bus” is an innovative award-winning mobile youth centre, which has served the Tri-City communities since 2004. Since its conception, Project Reach Out has made over 30,000 connections with street involved youth by providing mentorship and engagement to at-risk youth today. The bus can be a mobile one-stop-shop for youth in need of accessing food, clothing, winter gear, blankets, sexual health supplies, harm reduction supplies including Naloxone, personal hygiene supplies, and more. PRO also provides sexual health and drug education, counselling support, conflict resolution, referrals, and anything else that our team of Outreach Youth Workers can support our youth with. This bus is LGBTQ2S+ friendly and operates with a harm reduction approach. Meeting youth where they are at is what we do best.
On board PRO we have our Bus Captain and our Outreach Youth Workers who have diverse backgrounds in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Addictions Counselling, and many other varied educational backgrounds. Each discipline adds to the uniqueness of our team to best reflect the uniqueness of all the youth we encounter.
The bus operates on Friday evenings beginning at 7PM and running until midnight (PST), from May until November.
If you are ages 12 to 23 and reside in the Tri Cities and are in need of services provided by the bus you can contact PRO Fridays from 7:00 pm – 12:00 am PST:
